One of golf's largest sporting events which Sky Sports takes pride in broadcasting is The Ryder Cup.  This was a great opportunity to work with producers and directors to produce a set of graphics to feature on Sports News' Hub Wall that illustrates the massive weekend of The 2014 Ryder Cup.  This was a collaborative project with David Bland.

We created a countdown bug as a lower third to create the hype and excitement of the competition to our viewer.  

 

Our Current Score graphic acted as our home page, which then animated the single and double games. This was been constantly update whilst on being aired.

 

On the 11am rundown, the weather was also featured where the presenters discussed the forecast conditions for the rest of the day.

 

We wanted to really add more interaction with the Hub Wall using social media, including media stats, tweets etc but unfortunately due to the Wall being a new asset to Sports News, this graphic was not able to be built in time.  

 

(These designs and builds were also used for The 2015 Ryder Cup).
